Kaizen and the boring art of shipping small updates

Kaizen (改善) — continuous, incremental improvement — gets cited a lot in management books and applied rarely in software, where the instinct is usually to save fixes up for a dramatic 'v2' announcement.

We don't do that. Lyncost's changelog is a list of small, specific things: a category filter that was slow, a chart that mislabelled a currency, an export format that didn't round-trip cleanly. None of it is exciting. All of it is true, and shipped the week it was fixed rather than bundled into a marketing moment.

The side effect is that users trust the changelog. When we say something is fixed, it's fixed that week, not 'coming in the next major release.' Slow and specific beats fast and vague.
